Every year the Ice Rink returns to Bournemouth Gardens and proves to be one of the most popular attractions. This year though, it has returned bigger and better than ever. Not only can you glide across the ice like Torvill and Dean, but you can now release your competitive side, with the new ‘Gliders’ Ice Bowling. With an under-cover bar and waiter service it’s sure to be a ‘strike’…
The Ice Rink is open daily, except Christmas Day, until January 2nd. SKATE only costs £9.00 for Adults Off Peak and £10.50 during peak times! So, if you want some festive fun in Bournemouth this Christmas, SKATE is a must do for all the family!
Santa’s Winter Wonderland at Stewarts, Christchurch
Looking for Christmas events in Christchurch?
Take your children to meet Santa and create a moment all parents surely cherish. The sheer joy on their faces will make this a day to remember! Santa’s Grottos can be hard to find these days, but luckily, Stewarts Garden Centre in Christchurch have one open right up until Christmas Eve! Prices are £8.95 for all children visiting the grotto (7 months – 12 years, includes a present), children between 0-6 months are given free entry, but unfortunately, no presents! For all you big kids, tickets are £1.00 each, but no present (you’re and adult now, what do you expect!). Take a trip through their snowy winter wonderland grotto, enjoying the musical animations along the way. Don’t forget to say hello to the real Reindeer on your way out! Tickets can be purchased in any of Stewarts Garden Centres!
‘Elf Yourself’ free workshop and Meet Santa at Castlepoint Shopping centre
Christmas is an expensive time, if you are looking for a Christmas event that won’t cost you the earth (or anything at all)! You may want to visit Castlepoint Shopping Centre on 16th December from 11:00am – 14:00pm.
Children will be transformed into Elves ready to be called upon if Santa needs anymore little helpers, complete with an Elf hat, collar and rosy cheeks!
Santa in Bournemouth can be an expensive experience…. but not this time! Castlepoint are holding another free Christmas event. Your child could meet Father Christmas himself AND receive a free gift!!! Santa will be there with his elves and will give your child undivided attention. Children young and old will love the event and we do too! This experience will be held across two different dates, December 16th at 12:00pm and December 17th at 16:00pm.
Bournemouth Alpine Christmas Market & Alpine Lodge
Th Bournemouth Alpine Christmas market is one of the most popular things to do in Bournemouth and Christchurch at Christmas.
After the success of the German Market theme, Bournemouth have decided on a new, exciting theme for this year. Introducing the new Alpine Market! Working with local traders and suppliers, there will be an array of craft products on offer this year. From local meats to Dorset mulled cider, you can be sure to find something you like! The Bournemouth Christmas Market will be also be working alongside various schools to deliver carolling and choir performances!
The Alpine Market is truly an experience that anyone can enjoy. Whether you want to get a bit ‘Merry’ and enjoy some festive drinks at the custom built Alpine Bar, or you need to go shopping for some last-minute Christmas gifts. Bournemouths Christmas Market has it all, and best of all, it’s located right in the town centre, you can’t miss it! We will see you there!
The Metropole Markets in Bournemouth this year have been welcomed with open arms and enjoyed by many local and not so local consumers. With jaw dropping fire displays, comedy gigs and some of the best food from the area, this event can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
Christmas Candyland is sure to be one of the best Christmas events in Bournemouth. The last Metropole Market of the year will be held on Sunday 17th December.
